Lobby Services

  • Document notarization by credit union employees is a convenience offered as a courtesy to Shell FCU members.
  • For a small fee, nonmembers can also use our Notary Public services.
  • Notaries are licensed and regulated by the State of Texas.
  • By accepting the courtesy notarization services, the member/nonmember waives all claims against Shell FCU arising from or related to the courtesy notarization.
  • Please ask for details by calling (713)844-1100 or visiting any Shell FCU branch.

Safe deposit boxes are available at several Shell FCU branches in four different sizes, each of which is 24" deep. Fees are debited annually from your Savings Account. Availability at each branch varies. There is a 10% discount on rentals for Super Senior Accounts. Please call (713) 844-1100 for assistance or visit a Shell FCU branch for details.

Shell FCU can send and receive domestic and international wire transfers. Wire transfers can be completed at any of our locations or by calling (713) 844-1100.

To send funds from your Shell FCU account to another institution, please be sure to obtain accurate wiring instructions from the receiving institution, prior to contacting us. In order to send funds to a Shell FCU account you will need to provide the other institution with the following information:

To help add an additional layer of security for wire transfers by phone, please visit any of our locations to put a Wire PIN on file. Your Wire PIN will be completely confidential and will only be used for the purpose of a wire transfer.

Cashier's checks are available for $1.00 each and Money Orders are available for $.50 each.

Shell FCU is a Money Transfer Agent for Western Union, providing both Western Union Money Transfer® and Quick Collect® services to the community.

Western Union services are available to anyone; you do not have to be a credit union member to use their services.

Personal information is required to complete a transaction and Shell FCU can verify member information and complete their Western Union transfers via fax. Non-members must, however, make:

  • Western Union transfers in person.
  • Western Union services are available in branches during regular lobby hours.

Western Union service is not available at Bay Area, Baytown, Katy, Spring, Tomball, Wilson and Woodforest branch locations. Shell FCU engages in the money transmission business as an authorized delegate of Western Union Financial Services, Inc. under Chapter 151 of the Texas Finance Code.
