The Season of Surprises promotion runs from October 1 through November 30, 2025. Participants may earn entries by funding a new loan, opening a new Checking Account, Money Market, High Yield eSavings, or Term Share Certificate, or completing 20 debit card transactions each totaling $25 or more during the promotional period. A new loan is defined as any loan funded or refinanced with Shell FCU from another institution or establishing a new credit card. For loans with multiple borrowers, the entry will be applied to the primary borrower. For all promotions, a new Checking, Money Market, or High Yield eSavings account is defined as the member's first account of that type established with Shell FCU. New Term Share Certificates are considered unlimited; however, renewals do not qualify. Debit card transactions must be approved and posted within the promotional period and must be tied to the name of the individual cardholder. Cash advances, ATM withdrawals, foreign transactions, returned purchases, and disputed or fraudulent charges do not qualify as eligible transactions. There is no limit to the number of qualifying entries. From all qualifying entries during the promotional period, six winners will be randomly selected to each receive $5,000. Winners are limited to one prize for the duration of the promotion and must be in good standing with Shell FCU at the time of the drawing. Winners will be notified by telephone by December 15, 2025, and must claim their prize within 7 business days after notification or an alternate winner will be selected. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Applicable 1099 forms will be issued the following January. Shell FCU reserves the right to modify or cancel the promotion at any time.
